Fee For Service Clients

Our Guarantee

We guarantee that our patients are fully satisfied with their care. We will not charge you for the evaluation portion of your initial appointment if you have not found a new and better way to approach your health challenge. Guaranteed. Period.

Determining your Benefits and Payment

The DSR Clinic is described as an “out-of-network outpatient physical therapy provider” by insurance companies.

We encourage every patient to verify their benefits for physical therapy with their insurance company prior to their first appointment. We do not bill any health insurance companies except for Medicare. We collect full payment at the time of your visit (hence, fee for service) and your insurance company will reimburse you directly.

Most private insurance policies cover physical therapy costs.   We provide courtesy billing information for all of our physical therapy clients and provide receipts to submit to their insurance company for all physical therapy services.  The receipts contain all the information a health insurance company would need to reimburse for the physical therapy services rendered, such as, the diagnosis code, the procedure codes, the date of service, and the breakdown of charges. Depending on your out-of-network benefits, you may be reimbursed up to 80% of the appointment. As the patient you are ultimately responsible for knowing and understanding your benefits with your insurance company, which is why we recommend contacting them prior to your first appointment if cost is a concern for you. Here is a helpful worksheet to use when contacting your insurer. We accept cash, personal checks, debit cards, and all major credit cards.
Once you have attended your first therapy session, here is a guide for submitting your claim for reimbursement.

Value

At first glance, the Fee For Service rate may seem expensive, but when compared to other physical therapy services the value of our service will become apparent. We have created the Smart Consumers chart below to reflect this information. You wouldn't purchase a car without comparison shopping and we have provided this helpful chart because we know no one else offers the value we do in physical therapy services. We also have included a realistic scenario that shows how it is possible to not only get the highest quality physical therapy care out there by coming here, but actually investing less money in the end.

We are confident you will see the value of our services when matched by cost per service. We believe in physical therapy, as so often in other consumer decisions, you do get what you pay for!

At DSR we also tend not to have to see you as many times because of the very personal and focused care you receive, therefore you’ll have both fewer visits per week and fewer total visits overall…so if you have a $30 co-pay in network and have to be seen 3 times per week for $90/week or are seen here weekly for $100-$125, there will be very little out of pocket expense for you for a much better experience:

DSR Clinic: 8 week program consisting of an initial visit at $150 and 7 visits at $125, total gross out of pocket cost = $1025. Assuming your insurance covers 50%-80%, your total Net out of pocket cost = $205-$512.50

Them: 6 weeks at 2-3 times per week with a $30 copay = $360-$540
